Xvid at 23.976 fps to DVD - Problems |

Hello everybody,
I am trying to re-encode an xvid as MPEG2 to make a DVD version of a video.
The Xvid was encoded at 23.976 fps, so I am using 3:2 pulldown to make an
MPEG at 29.97 fps.
All the encoding packages that I have tried give the wrong length - more
than 4 hours for a 90 minutes clip and seem to hang once they get past the
90 minute mark.
Has anybody any idea what can be causing this ?
I am using the libavcodec from ffdshow, is this the problem ?
