Hi All,

I use Sub Station Alpha 4.08 for sub-titling a video film. I use an
Indian language font for displaying text which includes a character
represented by the symbol "{" (without the quotes). But this character
is not displayed in the output video which I rendered through Virtual
Dub and TMPGEnc. All characters after the "{" is not shown as sub
title. I presume that the character { is the start of a command in Sub
Station Alpha.

Is there any wayout so that I can display the intended character ? I
am really stuck up. Please help!!

Sajith

Does the subtitle filter you're using in VDub accept more than
one file structure? The "{" and its compliment are used in some
file types (SUB ??) and not in others (SRT ??).

You might consider changing the "{" to a "("... if you have no other
choice, it might be an option, and it's as close as you can get to the
same character.... just a thought.
