Help w/Dyna FM1 |
|
|
I was hoping someone could tell me the value of C29 on board PC-8 of an FM 1...
I have the schematic for the FM 3, but the 1 is a bit different, it does not
use the PEC on the PC-8 board...The one I am working on looks like a .0001
silver mica cap....
TIA

My manual shows C29 as the coupling cap feeding the top of the
volume control, " .47mfd @ 100 v." , which today we'd call
0.47 uF @ 100 WVDC. Seems kinda high, but any mica is likely
too small.
Good fortune,

Hi:
You must have PNs mis-stated below: C29 on PC8 lists as 0.47uF/100V. If
your FM1 is still mono maybe you're looking for the value of the de-emphasis
network cap C28 (0.0075uF). When converted to stereo, the de-emphasis
network is replaced with a different RC network designed to accentuate the
pilot/subcarrier level. On the FM1 this alternate network is implemented
with discrete components; on the FM3 a PEC used.
