Does anybody know a quick way to convert divx3 to divx5. I have tried using
dr divx and it takes over 2 hours to do one file, and I need to convert
around 60 files.

Thanks in advance

Yes, that sounds right for Dr. Divx, about 2 hours. I don't know of quicker
way right now. You might want to check on the Divx web site or send an
email to them.

Just out of curiosity, why do you want to convert to a different
version of DivX? You will lose some quality doing so, and the DivX 5
codec 'is' backwards compatible I believe. You 'could' use an editor and
change the FourCC value, even though it wouldn't actually change the
file, it'd then force DivX 5 codec to playback the video. I've changed
XviD to DivX using this method, because it would 'lag' badly on my PC,
(this was a long time ago, and 3 systems back). The program is called
avic.exe, it's very tiny, you could probably test it on a backup/extra
copy of one of your videos. It might save you 'alot' of time...
