I've got a Chinese movie with subtitles in a seperate .srt file.
When I play the DivX file, how do I get the subtitles to appear?

Are you playing the file on a computer? If so for instance I know with
mplayer gui version you just select subtitles and then select the dir where
your .srt file is and and then the appropriate file and voila subtitles are
used. As far as other programs or a standalone dvd player I do not
know...I have read some info on possible ways to blend your .srt file with
your .avi file so that the subtitles are permanently mixed with the video.
This is not something I want though.

Download ffdshow codec. Works very well. If the subtitles need some work,
use Subtitle Workshop. Both are free.
