Hitachi DZ-MV100 DVD: connecting to a computer |
|
|
Hi,
For a Hitachi DZ-MV100 DVD digital camcorder, what kind of a
connection is needed at the camcorder-end of a USB cable?
The port on the camcorder is shaped similar to the 4-port end
of a firewire cable but is a little smaller, so I'm not sure what kind
of a connection is needed.
Unfortunately, I don't have easy access to a PC-connection kit
that Hitachi sells for this unit.
Thanks.

There is a connector called Mini-USB - or else it's called micro-USB, I
forget :-)
You have to be careful: it comes in two flavors, 4-pin and 5-pin.
I'm sure if you use the wrong one something will break, and Murphy
suggests it'll be the camera, not the cable...
