ATTN Panasonic VCR gurus: AG1980's PAL S-VHS counterparts: N |

I am using an NTSC Panasonic AG1980 S-VHS VCR (what a solid machine!)
for restoration / digital archival of VHS/ and S-VHS content, and
would like to acquire a similar PAL unit.
After a quick search I found there are several European Panasonic
S-VHS VCR models looking similar to the US AG-1980, actually:
* NV-FS88
* NV-FS90
* NV-FS100
* NV-FS200
There are apparently B and EG designations (like NV-FS100B or
NV-FS100EG)
I would like to know:
* Would any of these units run on 115V/60Hz electricity either
directly or perhaps by adjusting an internal switch.
*What are the differences benween the models (years of manufacture;
features; enhancements of specific aspects of performance; reliability
differences if any).
* What do the B and EG designations mean, if anything.
* Are these as a group much different in some ways other than PAL/NTSC
from the U.S.' AG1980?
* Anything else I should know about these units
- common problems (leaking caps, other "pattern" failurs if any)
- things to look/ask for when looking for these models used
Many thanks!!
