I have an old RCA SelectaVision VCR but not the users manual.

I am trying to figure out if I can program it to record from TV at a
preset time, unattended.

Any ideas?

The RCA model no is VKT425.

The front panel looks like this:
Left half:
___________________________________________________________
| |
| (tape) |
|__________________________________________________________|

________ ________ ________ ________ ________ ________
| | | | | | | | | | | |
| | | TIMER | | PLAY | | RECORD| | STOP | | |
| | |_______| |_______| |_______| |_______| | |
| POWER | ________ __________________ ________ | EJECT |
| | | | | | | | | |
| | | VCR | | << >> | | PAUSE | | |
|_______| |_______| |_________________| |_______| |_______|

Right half: Display window, and under it five buttons:

XPR COUNTER RESET V ^
[CHANNEL]

Any ideas how to program this thing, or a pointer
to documentation on the internet, will be greatly appreciated.

Formatting is all wrong in the previous message. Trying again:
