Behold, Carroll Conklin signalled from keyed 4-1000A filament:

I only recognize the 5R4 with the "chinup" base.

It's not a tube. It's some lab glassware they glomped on there for FX.
A similar goof is the "mnemonic device" Spock built in the 1920's in
Star Trek in the episode where they go to the planet with the colossal
time-ring. The prop is in the LV Hilton Star Trek museum. One or more
of the tubes on this thing are Compactrons from a dead 60's TV. See it
for yourself if you visit. Just stay away from Quark's, as the Saurian
brandy will give you the astro-shits. |

There's no suitable iron in a Yaesu ham HF transceiver, and they're |
worth more than a homebuilt audio amp. Especially one with 6146's. |

It's worth *more* than the hastle? Jeesh, wat'cha willing to pay? Boatacor
Radio folks seemed comcerned when i spent time downloading manuals &
spending time aligning the beastly. I think it's still in the cellar.
Minus da toobs (i think the 6146's are in the caefully-catloged "toobs I'll
use when hell freezez over" bin. Will gladly swap for anythimg with a pair
of matching UL audio output tranies. NYC picup only - i 8like8 my UPS
guy...
OTOH, other than the PS, there's no iron wort mentionn in the thing - just
a punny universal OT. And da toobs are Toshiba...
