Introduction
Simple
and quick guide to using dvddecrypter to rip an entire DVD to
your computer, ready for software that cannot handle copyrighted
DVD’s
Software Required
DVDDecrypter
Method
Run
DVDDecrypter, and select settings. DoublAe check the settings
are the same as in the snapshots below. This will ensure that
all copy protection is removed, no region protection is present
and any restrictions that were on the DVD have also been removed.
These tend to be annoying features like forcing you to watch
copyright messages, etc, etc.
If
you get any errors message relating to the region being incorrect,
simply change the RCE Protection Region to the source DVD region.
For Europe/UK this is 2, for the USA this is normally 1.
NOTE
This
is very important, otherwise the region coding will not be removed.
So, if the DVD you are ripping is marked as Region 1, set this
setting to Region 1, if its listed as Region 3, set it to Region
3

Put
the DVD that you are going to rip into your DVD drive, run DVD
Decrypter

Click
mode, then tick file

It
is best to select the whole movie, as the copy will not always
work if only the Main movie and none of its support VOB files
are present

In
the destination directory box, enter the directory or volume
where DVD Decrypter will rip the files

Click
the big Decrypt button
All
the files will then be ripped to that directory, make sure you
allow around 8GB for each DVD you are ripping especially if
the source DVD is a dual layered DVD (DVD-9). These are normally
DVD’s that have lots of special features, trailers and extras,
or have more than about 100 minute run times
