3. Multilingual Function for languages galore
Thanks to the adoption of MPEG2 digital image
compression technology, it is possible to achieve excellent picture
quality comparable to that of a studio master tape.
A maximum of 8 languages for dubbing and a maximum
of 32 languages for subtitles can be stored on a single disc and
viewers can combine them as they wish. Not just languages, but
a maximum of 8 soundtracks can be stored, too.
For example, if you want to practice your English
listening skills, you can listen to English without displaying
Japanese subtitles, or you can check your listening skills by
listening to English while displaying English subtitles. Of course,
the same goes for French, Spanish or other languages.
